Instructor in Automation Engineering – Process Technology

📍 Location: Gothenburg (possibility for partial remote work) 📅 Start: Autumn semester 2026

Teknikakademin is looking for an engaged and knowledgeable instructor in the field of automation engineering with a focus on process technology. This role is suitable for you who have strong technical competence in process automation and want to contribute to educating the engineers of the future in a modern and professional educational environment.

As an instructor, you will plan, implement, and develop teaching in process technology, process safety, and automation. The focus is on providing students with both theoretical and practical skills in how process facilities are designed, optimized, and maintained.

Teaching will primarily take place on-site in Gothenburg, with some remote possibilities based on course structure.

• Teach process technology, process safety, and automation

• Convey knowledge in project planning, requirements specification, drawing production, and specifications for process facilities

• Teach field-oriented elements such as commissioning, troubleshooting, calibration, and process optimization

• Quality assure and develop course materials

• Guide students in technical projects and practical exercises

• Monitor student progress and contribute to their technical development

• Excellent knowledge in process technology, automation, and control systems

• Understanding of field instrumentation, electrical and control components, as well as measurement and control technology

• Experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, or maintenance in process environments

• Relevant technical education and/or equivalent professional experience

• Ability to explain complex technical processes in a clear and pedagogical manner

• Experience from process, energy, chemical, or manufacturing industries

• Previous experience as an instructor, mentor, or educator

• Experience working in project form and/or leading smaller projects
